What is an american mama? Are we hippies? Are we crunchy? Are we conservative or liberal? Who knows, who cares. We are mothers. Every day I read posts, tweets, blogs, and articles about how to raise your child this way or that way and why doing it one way or the other makes you the best. An interesting conversation started at my parent's dinner table last night as well about what the term hippie meant; slander to some, award winning to others. While I agree that mothers are pushing the green movement, mothers push many movements because they are mothers and their instinct is to do whatever they feel is right for their young. Yes, yes we are mammals ladies, like it or not. Many of my thoughts are kept on my computer or random notes or posts of my own. At the urging of so many friends the New American Mama begins. For those who know me, or those who find me, I have been known to make a splash here and there and lets start this out with a big one. Hippie, crunchy, granola, freaks? What are you and why? In all fairness that means I have to tell you what I am right? Nope, not yet. Many of you may have a definition for me, but lets spare the curse words. So c'mon ladies, let me hear your voices. From the far right to the far left, from leaning forwards to going backwards.....what are you as the new american mama?

  1. A very interesting question. I would have to say I am a moderate mama with crunchy leanings. :)
